Best Country in Wichita

Clint Black at Crown Uptown Theatre

Clint Black

Arguably the first big star to bring Country to a mainstream audience in the 1990s, Black is one of the first artists in a generation that took inspiration from Merle Haggard, Bob Wills, and George Jones, taking rock-oriented pop and mixing it up in a country setting. Offering an easily marketable and squeaky clean image of Country, he smoothed the way for artists after him to come along, particularly Garth Brooks.

Cody Jinks at INTRUST Bank Arena

Cody Jinks

Denton, TX native Cody Jinks's career took a sideways turn in his early days when he formed a thrash metal band, before heading back to his first love, country. His first album, 2015's Adobe Sessions charted in Billboard's regional Heatseekers charts at No.2. His second album dropped in 2016, entitled I'm Not the Devil and instantly debuted at No. 4 on the Top Country Albums chart. But more recently he was lauded for covering Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here', and made his national TV debut on Conan with his single, I'm Not the Devil.

Trace Adkins at Crown Uptown Theatre

Trace Adkins

This self-proclaimed "roughneck" musician has struck a chord with fans worldwide, his talent taking him from the radio stations to television stations. His top-selling album, Songs About Me, went double Multi-Platinum and he's been seen on screen in the hit series The Lincoln Lawyer. Country music is still his first love though, and he's back on the road taking his music from town to town!
